Day 10 – July 2

We are headed out from Prophet River Airstrip, BC to Summit Lake Campground, Stone Mountain Provincial Park.

During the night and into the morning, at Prophet River Airstrip, we heard thunder but had no rain. As we ate breakfast, it began to rain and continued to moderately rain as we hooked up the trailer. We all got wet! Poor Diane.

Along our travels today, we saw a deer with a fawn and a bear.

Summit Lake Campground, Stone Mountain Provincial Park, BC is a first come, first serve campground. This is also another 2 day stay. We arrived to find a very nice site overlooking the lake and creek. Today, the high is 60 degrees Fahrenheit. A little cooler than our previous days.

On the bridge, which was also a beaver dam, there was this yellow sign “Danger Area – Problem Bear in the area”.

Tonight, we are watching the beaver swimming around in the creek near it’s dam.

Since I was caught up on the blog, just before the beaver showed up, I am able to take the photo of the beaver and upload it. Steve is still working on yesterday’s post of his blog. Check out Steve’s professional blog!
