Day 17 – July 9

We are still in Whitehorse, YT. After our French toast breakfast, Diane stayed back in the trailer to work. Steve, Kenny and I went into town. We checkout out the SS Klondike stern wheeler, well just the outside it was closed for repairs, just along the Yukon River.

Time for some lunch! We went to the Big Bear Eatery, Whitehorse, YT. I had the Taste of Gods bowl along with a Short Island Ice Tea (non alcoholic). It was excellent!

Our next stop was the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre. Kenny was very excited for this stop.

But Kenny was disappointed, we could not go inside to the Yukon Transportation Museum, it was closed. There was a trail from the Interpretive Centre to the Transportation Museum, that the back side of the fence was open. So we did get to check out the outside of the Transportation Museum. There was this large US Army vehicle. There was a bird nest in the underside.

We went back to get Diane, so we could check out the Miles Canyon.

As we drove along the Yukon River, we saw more float planes parked along the shore. Of course, we had to try out the Yukon Brewery.

Very interesting cloud near the brewery.
